As the Nation of Islam’s representative in Paris, have you ever considered inviting Minister Louis Farrakhan to visit France to address the legions of Muslims and non-Muslims who support him in your country? Such a visit would cause a sensation throughout Europe and would have a profound impact on the French republic, especially if the Minister were to perform a violin concerto with the Orchestre de Paris (or some other French symphony) and deliver a sermon at La Sorbonne.
This French visit by Mr Farrakhan, if successful and well-received, could kick off a wider European cultural tour that would see him visit (among other places) Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Turkey and Switzerland ~ countries where his prowess as a classical violinist is widely admired by the community of classical musicians ~ and see him make an artistic pilgrimage to the Lithuanian birthplace of his musical hero, Jascha Heifetz, along with the Hamburg provenance of Felix Mendelssohn, and could have a far more transformational impact on the European continent and the wider world than even his 1995 Million Man March and subsequent World Friendship Tour.
Such a successful trip to France and tour of Europe could also end up being the biggest such sojourn of its kind in classical music history, drawing the largest ever audiences witnessed for the artform and embarrassing the British government into lifting the ban they have long maintained against him visiting the United Kingdom.
Back in 1964, Malcolm X was barred from entering France but was allowed to visit the United Kingdom where he delivered his most powerful ever address at Oxford University on December 3rd. Today, the opposite is true. The N.O.I. leader finds himself banned from Britain.
Perhaps Monsieur Sarkozy, having played host to Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi at the Élysée Palace in 2007, will welcome Monsieur Farrakhan to France, non?
Rather than sending an additional 40,000 troops to drown in the lava pool that is Afghanistan, wouldn’t President Obama be better advised to deploy them to his former hometown of Chicago and America’s other blood-stained big cities to pacify the fratricidal insurgency that has witnessed Rwanda-style barbarism of the kind displayed in the video above and seen more Americans die at the hands of their fellow Americans in the last two years than all of the lives the US has lost in its global Wars on Terror since they commenced on 9/11?
In the light of the Elizabeth Lambert and Thierry Henry twin displays of stellar sportsmanship, I thought I’d re-post the following essay I penned for the Spectator magazine’s July 2006 edition. Bon appétit…

For all that was made of the ‘diversity’ of the French World Cup side, what was truly striking about the team that took to the field to face Italy in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium was its very lack of diversity. For all but three of the players who thundered on to the pitch to do battle with the Italians were black Frenchmen.
Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira, the Toussaint L’Ouverture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines of the beautiful game (along with its now disgraced Algerian maestro, Zinedine Zidane), fought the good fight for France in a contest that ultimately favoured Italy — and that says as much about the changing face of modern Europe as it does about the game of football. For what we saw on the pitch on 9 July was a French side which showcased the true global ideal of integration, not so much through its representation of that ideal, as through its very subversion of it.
The setting couldn’t have been more dramatic — or poignant. Berlin’s Olympischer Platz once reverberated to the Sieg heils of the Third Reich and, as the venue in which Nazi Germany staged the 1936 Olympics, was the place in which an important piece of political history was made when the black American sprinter Jesse Owens exploded the myth of Aryan genetic superiority with his four gold-medal-winning performance before an annoyed Adolf Hitler. Hitler despised black men as much as he did French men, and nothing stuck in his craw quite like the post-first world war decision to station African troops in the demilitarised Rhineland as part of the French entente occupation of the territory mandated by the Treaty of Versailles. Even more intolerable for ol’ Schickelgruber must have been the mulatto offspring that sprouted so abundantly from contacts between those same troops and local German women. Thus nothing could have been more fitting — and telling of how much time has passed — than what transpired in that same historic venue on 9 July 2006.
Black Frenchmen, it seems to me, have always appeared more comfortable draping themselves in the Tricolor and bellowing ‘La Marseillaise’ than black Englishmen have been with the Union Jack and ‘God Save the Queen’. This may be down to what these anthems and ensigns signify to their respective peoples. ‘La Marseillaise’ is an anthem that manages to be both fiercely nationalistic yet ‘global’, whereas ‘God Save The Queen’ has never quite convinced its erstwhile colonial subjects that it embraced them in its stanzas. It is an introspective, somewhat parochial song whereas ‘La Marseillaise’ once provided the tune to which the anthem of the international revolutionary movement, ‘The Internationale’, was set. It is a song of the world while still being powerfully and uncompromisingly French, whereas the British national anthem has never been anything more than the national paean of an island off the western shores of Europe. This is an important distinction that explains the relationship which black people on either side of the English Channel have with their adoptive homelands and points the way forward to a truly inclusive, yet singular and ‘national’, planetary civilisation.
The sheer unselfconsciousness and spontaneity of the ethnic composition of the French side represents a rebuke to the coercive, though well-intentioned, efforts at imposing integration and diversity in a vain attempt to produce authentically ‘multicultural’ societies. In its dogged insistence that all its citizens subordinate their respective national identities to an overarching French personage, that country, for all its missteps, occasionally attains the true ideals of integration that have eluded those states which sought to bring it about through politically correct coaxing, if not coercion. In the French approach there lies the seed of what the world at large should aim for. Rather than attempting to embrace all cultural values as equally valid (they’re not), this world should formulate one single, uniform and potent cultural standard to which all differences should be subordinate. There needs to be one global identity that derives its core ideals from the best values of the Western democratic tradition and to which all of the peoples of this world should pledge allegiance. There can be no more concessions to the intolerance, schizophrenia and extremisms of the Occident. It should be clear by now that in today’s world the basic values of Western liberal democracy are, in fact, superior to those of ‘Islam’, sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Latin America. The West’s ideals are not artefacts of the ‘white race’ but have evolved through its contacts with the rest of the world and have absorbed the useful within them to become the best of the world. Mankind should now agree upon this core global standard and urge universal conformity with it.
The continuing post-9/11 tensions between civilisations — not the least of which were witnessed in the recent riots across France — cannot be prevented from sliding into outright war unless humanity adopts the model that was played out on the pitch in Berlin. We must not force integration or slide into self-segregation, but instead create a world in which cultural variety can exist within a single, global Western civilisational norm. The French side was not selected to make a political point. It was pure Darwinian natural self-selection in which the best possible team France could field happened largely to consist of black men. They weren’t picked because of the way they looked and what presumed ‘message’ that would send to the bigots in the football stands and beyond about the importance of ‘stamping out racism’. They wouldn’t have come this far if they had. Indeed, during the course of World Cup 2006 we have witnessed the ‘darker’ nations of the South (Africa, South America, the Middle East, Asia) being systematically swept aside by the tactically and strategically superior North, and the team that came excruciatingly close to hoisting the trophy largely comprised black members of that very Northern world.
This offers clear proof of the basic superiority of the Western societal and civilisational model without being proof of any racial superiority. That very organisational and operational genius of the North which was so irrefutably showcased during the tournament should now cascade down into the South to transform the economies, societies and values of that part of the world. And the emissaries who should lead that effort should be precisely those political, business and scientific representatives of the black North whose athletic counterparts put on a masterful display on France’s behalf that will continue to provide — Italy’s victory notwithstanding — the most memorable single set of images of the World Cup.

As focused as the world has been on the existential threat posed by Al Qaeda or Taliban terrorists possibly gaining access to Pakistani nuclear weapons, next to no international attention has been paid to the vulnerability of Israel’s own nuclear arsenal to Jewish extremists operating within the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) who could potentially perpetrate an “Empty Quiver” event by stealing one or more of the IAF’s nuclear-armed F-15I fighter-bombers from the Tel Nof airforce base (which stores the Jewish state’s most forward-deployed/“hair-trigger” nukes) and launching a supersonic Kamikaze mission against Iran or, even more horrifyingly, staging an apocalyptic nuclear bombing run on Islam’s two holiest cities of Mecca and Medina at the height of the Hajj pilgrimage, turning them into the “Hiroshima and Nagasaki” of the Muslim world, slaughtering over three million pilgrims and plunging mankind into a cataclysmic, nuclear Holy War.

I’ve always wondered: Did Darth Vader know that Princess Leia was his daughter when he captured and tortured her in A New Hope? Leia is, after all, Luke Skywalker’s twin sister which would make Vader her father. If so, torturing his own daughter calls for a peculiar kind of depravity. Or perhaps he didn’t realise that he was her dad until he read Luke's mind during their climactic duel in Return of the Jedi? After all he hadn’t realised who Luke himself was in Hope or discerned that the Death Star-destroying X-wing pilot who appeared to be so "strong with the Force" was his own son. But shouldn't Vader have at least detected that Leia was Force-possessed? After all, she is potentially as “strong with the Force” as Luke himself and appears to have put up “Force-level” resistance during her interrogation in Vader’s torture chamber. And if not Vader then certainly the Emperor should have sensed the Force within her. Or perhaps she just slipped under their combined "Force Radar"….who knows…..?

Having reversed long-standing Labour policy as it relates to the “sharing of a platform” with the British National Party, is your office now prepared to reconsider the equally indefensible exclusion order barring Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan from entering the United Kingdom in order that he may exercise his right to free speech?
For wasn’t it none other than your colleague Jack Straw who, as Justice Secretary, seemed quite happy to duel with Nick Griffin on the BBC’s Question Time who, in a former capacity as Home Secretary, opted to renew the ban on Mr Farrakhan on the wholly spurious grounds that a British visit by the NOI leader could trigger the kind of affray that was witnessed outside of Television House on the occasion of Mr Griffin’s appearance?
Or is it the Labour party’s intention to persist with the odious practice of applying two sets of standards as it relates to the right of free expression when exercised by persons of contrasting ethnicity and of a kind that lays you wide open to the very charge of bigotry of which you have long accused the BNP?
Far be it for me to offer advice to the leader of the British National Party but to the extent that there is any truth to Nick Griffin's recent claims of widespread support for the BNP amongst British troops serving in Afghanistan it surely can't be that long before such declarations reach the barbarous ears of Taliban and Al Qaeda butchers in that war-ravaged country and are quickly incorporated into their vile propaganda to further mobilize their jihadist rank-and-file for ever more deadly attacks on our valiant servicemen.
Nor can it be too long after that before the BNP's political enemies in the LibLabCon establishment seize upon any fatalities resulting from such attacks to depict Mr Griffin as a man with "blood on his hands" and portray any ballots cast for the party in any future election as the least patriotic and most treasonable act any true Briton could ever perform.
One would thus counsel the better part of discretion where the true political sympathies of our servicemen are concerned lest they find themselves besmirched as a "BNP army" of "thugs-in-uniform" and left exposed to the ever more unwelcome attentions of Tony Taliban and his RPG-wielding Al Qaeda compatriots.
Just as George Wallace of Alabama, Ian Smith of Rhodesia and F.W. de Klerk of South Africa each demonstrated the statesmanlike capacity to renounce their xenophobic pasts and make the transition to inclusive democracy, BNP leader Nick Griffin could be on the verge of an equally history-making metamorphosis. His Thursday, October 22nd appearance on the BBC’s Question Time could be his “Aragorn Moment”, marking the occasion when he “became the person he was born to be” by delivering an emotional mea culpa for his past record of (what some perceived as) holocaust denial and anti-Muslim vitriol and announcing his party’s intention to open its doors to Britons of all nationalities.
Such a bridge-building, Nobel Prize-worthy performance by the British National Party leader could transform his organisation overnight into the most exciting political force in Great Britain and announce Griffin as one of the most transformational figures in the country’s history. Should he fail to seize this unique moment and instead squander the occasion on yet another hair-splitting harangue over who can rightly be defined as “British” will leave him exposed as little more than the “witless worm” of Gandalf’s disdain and sink the BNP for once and for all.
An Open Letter to Nick Griffin, Chairman of the British National Party

Dear Mr Griffin,
Insofar as your party’s stated intention to halt all immigration from the non-European nations of the Southern hemisphere and encourage the voluntary repatriation of all such persons presently residing in the United Kingdom would have the effect, intended or otherwise, of stemming, and then reversing, the haemorrhagic brain drain that has seen millions of the South’s brightest minds abandon their benighted home countries for what they imagined to be lives of comparative prosperity in the European North;
And that such tsunamic migration from the South to the North has long fuelled the catastrophic widening of the scientific and technological chasm that separates the two hemispheres, the apocalyptic atrophy of health services in the majority of African nations (most of which can no longer meet the World Health Organisation’s minimum standard of 20 physicians per 100,000 people), the astronomic expenditures on foreign expatriates to fill the skills gaps left behind by the South’s fleeing émigrés, the disastrous shrinkage of the technocratic classes in the émigré states and the consequent crippling of their economic growth;
And to the extent that the repatriation of Britain’s Southern immigrants would deliver back to their struggling home countries millions of western-educated, expatriate-grade professionals in disciplines as diverse as software engineering, nuclear energy, agricultural science, veterinary medicine, neurosurgery, urban planning, corporate management, biotechnology, jurisprudence and other key specialities on a scale that would represent the single largest intercontinental transfer of expertise in history and in a manner that would ignite an economic and societal renaissance in the impoverished lands to which they returned;
And that their speedy resettlement and effective employment in their home nations and the subsequent exponential growth rates that would ripple across the South would help to narrow the inter-hemispheric divide, loosen the asphyxiating chokehold the North has long maintained on the planetary jugular and help to realise a far more equitable dispensation in the relations between the two regions than could have ever been achieved through all of the politically-correct social engineering of Western liberal orthodoxy;
And that the enduring presence of so vast a pool of skilled Southern talents lavishing their scarce resources on the institutions of the North has long rendered them criminally complicit in perpetuating the very Northern hegemony in global affairs which those self-same immigrants are often loudest (and most hypocritical) in denouncing;
And that any resettlement package which your party has pledged to grant to the consenting returnees were to combine a cash lump sum equivalent to their lifetime tax and national insurance contributions to the British state along with a government buy-back of any immigrant-owned properties at their current market value together with an offer to reward any Southern nation agreeing to resettle a significant proportion of its returnees with a cancellation of that country’s entire national debt to the United Kingdom, thus shifting the moral responsibility for the South’s enduring plight from the shoulders of supposedly villainous Western bankers and onto those of the very immigrant communities whose refusal to return home would render them criminally culpable for what amounted to an act of sabotage against their own countries of origin and thus identify them as traitors of the worst sort;
And that so iconoclastic a formula for eliminating Third World debt would constitute a far more effective and lasting means of liberating the South’s poor from its iron grip than could ever be realised through all of the facile “Trade Not Aid/Make Poverty History/Save Darfur” sloganeering of Western liberals and their Southern stooges;
And that your party is pledged to grant Britain’s judges the option of imposing either corporal or capital punishment for violent crimes the most insidious of which are the inner-city knife- and gun-related atrocities the majority of whose perpetrators derive from immigrant communities as do the vast preponderance of their victims and who would thus be the principal beneficiaries of so tectonic a shift in the administration of British criminal justice;
And that your party’s determination to awaken Britain’s manufacturing sector, dismantle its monopolies and generate green jobs would help to banish an economic and environmental blight that has seen successive Labour and Tory regimes shamelessly car-boot this nation’s silver to the lowest bidder and reduce this once “green and pleasant land” to a smoke-belching, toxic waste dump;
And that your party’s studious adherence to parliamentary propriety stands in stirring contrast to the tax-dodging, expense-claiming and second-home-having scoundrels who festoon Westminster’s backbenches and whose sickening masquerade as “servants of the people” reeks to the high heavens and renders each one of them worthy of the hangman’s noose;
And that your party’s foreign and defence policy of Armed Neutrality would see British forces withdrawn from global conflict theatres in which the country has no vital national interest and the United Kingdom extricated from a trans-Atlantic alliance that has seen successive British prime ministers slavishly abase this great nation to the status of not so much a poodle as a veritable chihuahua on an American leash and in a fashion that has needlessly tarnished her good name; and that, furthermore, such disengagement from these wholly unnecessary “wars of choice” would go a far longer way in lessening the antagonism between the West and the Muslim world and thus averting a cataclysmic “clash of civilisations” between the two than could ever be realised through all of the plaintive and pusillanimous pro-Muhammadan platitudes proffered by the new American president;
It becomes increasingly plain that the oft-heard refrain that yours is nothing but a party of “bigots” with little to offer the British people and whose accession to power would constitute a calamity for “community relations” ~ when the foregoing has amply demonstrated that the net result of your policies would be to transform such interactions more profoundly and positively than could ever be realised through all of the “beer summits” in all of the Rose Gardens of this world ~ has to rank as one of the most serpentine of slanders to have ever been circulated and that, as a proud British citizen of African origin, it is my solemn pledge to cast my ballot for the British National Party at the next general election as and when the current illegal (because unelected) occupant of No.10 finally summons up the courage to hold one.
For, having duly notified the British public that he has no intention of going to the country until he has quite finished taking his own sweet time to “rescue” our economy from the recession into which it was plunged by his own party’s ruinous policies ~ notwithstanding the fact that over thirty national elections have been held around the world since the onset of the global economic crisis in the autumn of 2008 and whose outcomes, as in the case of Iran, he has had the barefaced gall to criticise or whose successful conduct, as in the case of Afghanistan, he has seen fit to sacrifice British lives to secure ~ the peoples of this great nation should bluntly serve him notice that, should he fail to announce an immediate plebiscite, the British National Party will lead a Million Man March on Downing Street to unseat him from power ~ by any means necessary.
For, like the ring-bearing hobbits of Tolkien’s codex, Britain’s voters now hold the fate of the entire world in their hands. And by casting their ballots for the BNP they could very well trigger a butterfly effect across Europe that would see France’s Front National take the Élysée Palace, Hungary’s Jobbik Magyarországért Mozgalom seize Budapest and the Netherlands’ Partij voor de Vrijheid capture the Binnenhof, thus setting in motion a planetary contagion that would sweep the globe and transform it into the paradise for which its inhabitants have long yearned. For, after all, if the African-American son of a Kenyan goat-herder better known as “Barack Hussein Obama” could rise to the presidency of the United States of America, who could seriously doubt that the Cambridge-schooled progeny of an English conservative councillor going by the name of “Nicholas John Griffin” could just as easily become the next prime minister of this United Kingdom?

The argument offered up by a Louisiana “justice of the peace” for denying an interracial couple a marriage license on the grounds that the spawn of such unions tend to suffer from an identity crisis flies in the face of the evidence embodied by the president of the United States of America ~ Barack Hussein Obama ~ who is himself the offspring of an identical tryst between a black African male from Kenya and white American female from Kansas and who would appear to be having the time of his life.
...Obama may be no drama, but Biden loves drama. And what could more dramatic than resigning the vice presidency on principle? And what principle could be more honorable than refusing to go along with a policy of unnecessarily risking American blood and treasure -- and America's national security?
For Arianna Huffington to truly imagine that Vice President Joe Biden would ever consider resigning over President Barack Obama's planned troop surge in Afghanistan on a point of "moral principle" is to lay bare her naive inability to grasp the simple truth that barely a day dawns in Washington DC when Mr. Biden doesn't awaken with the morbid expectation that this day could be Mr. Obama's last and that before dusk settles over the Potomac that evening, First Lady Michelle Obama will have been widowed by an assassin's bullet and that Mr. Biden will have succeeded her late husband as the 45th president of the United States of America.
For the same Joe Biden who balefully predicted that within six months of Obama's presidency, the new administration would face a severe foreign policy challenge has doubtless privately forecast that America's first Black president will suffer a significant assassination attempt before the close of his first term which, were it to succeed, would leave Mr. Biden holding the keys to the White House and that for so long as there exists even the faintest glimmer of so portentous a possibility the current occupant of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building has no immediate or future plans to abandon a post pregnant with such unparalleled promise.
If only the "anti-racists" of the UAF would devote as much energy in protesting against the "Black-on-Black" gun- and knife-related fratricide which continues to rage in bullet-riddled and blood-spattered urban backwaters like Manchester's Moss Side and London's Hackney borough ~ and which accounts for more Black fatalities than all of the racial violence that has ever occurred in the entire history of the United Kingdom ~ as they do in confronting the imagined "bigotry" of the great British patriots of the English Defence League would we all be a great deal better off. Having spent this past Saturday in the company of a boisterous group of EDL supporters I am now more convinced than ever before that something volcanic is stirring in the United Kingdom and which could finally explode to the surface when British National Party chief Nick Griffin makes his historic appearance on the BBC's Question Time next Thursday, October the 22nd.

In what would be a maritime variant of her legendary 1976 commando raid on Entebbe (launched to rescue Israeli hostages from the murderous clutches of Ugandan despot, Idi Amin Dada) the Jewish state could be no more than a few weeks away from a devastating naval missile assault on Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Provisionally titled “Operation Radiant Sun” (an allusion to the radioactive installations she intends to destroy) the brilliant commander of the Israeli navy, Major General Eli Marom (a Chinese Jew of all things!), has hatched an ingenious plan to deploy Israel’s fleet of Dolphin attack subs and Sa’ar-5 corvettes to the Arabian Sea and from which would be launched dozens of nuclear-tipped Tomahawk and Popeye Turbo cruise missiles into Iran from her south-eastern flank ~ a direction from which Tehran may be least expecting an attack from the hated “Zionist entity”. Such a strategy would maximise the element of surprise, spare Israeli pilots from the nightmare prospect of capture, provide the Jewish state with full deniability and assure the complete destruction of Ahmadinejad’s nuclear weapons capability should the diplomatic exertions of a certain recently-crowned Nobel laureate fail to bear fruit.

Right here on this mall where we are standing, according to books written on Washington, D.C., slaves used to be brought right here on this Mall, in chains, to be sold up and down the eastern seaboard. Right along this mall, going over to the White House, our fathers were sold into slavery. But George Washington, the first president of the United States, said he feared that before too many years passed over his head, this slave would prove to become a most troublesome species of property. Thomas Jefferson said he trembled for this country when he reflected that God was just and that his justice could not sleep forever. Well, the day that these presidents feared has now come to pass, for on this mall, here we stand in the capital of America. And the layout of this great city, laid out by a Black man, Benjamin Banneker. This is all placed and based in a secret Masonic ritual. And at the core of the secret of that ritual is the Black man. Not far from here is the White House. And the first president of this land, George Washington, who was a grand master of the Masonic Order laid the foundation, the cornerstone of this capitol building where we stand. George was a slave owner. George was a slave owner.....Now, this obelisk at the Washington Monument is Egyptian and this whole layout is reminiscent of our great historic past: Egypt. And, if you look at the original Seal of the United States, published by the Department of State in 1909, Gaylord Hunt wrote that late in the afternoon of July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress resolved that Dr. Benjamin Franklin, Mr. John Adams, and Mr. Thomas Jefferson (form) a committee to prepare a device for a Seal of the United States of America. In the design proposed by the first committee, the face of the Seal was a coat of arms measured in six quarters. That number is significant. Six quarters, with emblems representing England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany and Holland, the countries from which the new nation had been peopled. The Eye of Providence in a radiant triangle and the motto, E Pluribus Unum were also proposed for the face of the Seal....For the back of the Seal the committee suggested a picture of Pharaoh sitting in an open chariot with a crown on his head and a sword in his hand, passing through the divided waters of the Red Sea, in pursuit of the Israelites. And, hovering over the sea was to be shown a pillar of fire in a cloud, expressive of the divine presence and command. And rays from this pillar of fire were to be shown, beaming down on Moses standing on the shore, extending his hand over the sea, causing it to overwhelm Pharaoh. The motto for the reverse was, "Rebellion To Tyrants Is Obedience To God....."

When one considers that Louis Farrakhan's speech at the 16 October 1995 "Million Man March" represented the single most widely-viewed discourse on the Masonic symbology embedded in the architecture and layout of the U.S. capital, Washington D.C., does the N.O.I. leader deserve the credit for having inspired the theme and subject-matter for the world's current no.1 best-selling novel, to wit, Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol?
As the British National Party grapples with the momentous decision to open up its membership to Britons of all nationalities they may want to consider the example of the American Nation of Islam (NOI) and its own experience with a similar transition. The NOI is a Black Nationalist Islamic organism which began its life as a movement open exclusively to Americans of African descent. Over time (and under its present leader, Minister Louis Farrakhan) it has evolved beyond its ethnic parochialism to admit members of other nationalities without having in any way compromised its core commitment to the upliftment of Black Americans.
In like fashion the BNP (which began its political journey as an entity principally devoted to the needs of ethnically white Britons) need have no fear of broadening its membership to include Britons of all nationalities for, as the example of the NOI demonstrates, it is perfectly feasible for a movement primarily dedicated to the interests of one ethnic group to include within its ranks like-minded persons from races other than its own while still holding fast to, and keeping faith with, its core ethnic constituency.
